His Life:

'Abd al-'Azīz Ibn 'Abd Allāh Ibn Bāz was born in 1330 AH in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He lost his
eyesight when he was twenty. He died in 1420 AH.

His Studies:
|
Ibn Bāz personally studied with many prominent scholars
such as Muhammad Ibn 'Abd al-Latīf Āli-Shaykh and Muhammad Ibn
Ibrāhīm, the former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia.

His Position(s):
|
Ibn Bāz was appointed as a judge and he worked for
fourteen years in the judiciary. He then taught at the Riyadh
Institute of Science in the Faculty of Sharia in 1381 AH. He was
then appointed as Vice President, and later President, of
the Islamic University in Madinah. He was also later appointed as the
President of Islamic Research, Call, and Propagation. Ibn Bāz held
numerous other positions, the most famous of which is that of the
Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia from 1414 AH until his death in 1420 AH.
